I used a Nikon D700 SLR and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G for this shot. I staged Marianne on a bench, which was planted in a courtyard surrounded by three walls from a five-storey apartment building. The summer light fell evenly on this spot in the courtyard around three in the afternoon, which is when we started our shoot.
